1、不要忽视看似无足轻重的情绪
小石在和小朋友们争夺玩具时,不小心被碰了下,手臂上出现个红色的小印记,小石捂着“受伤”的手臂,哭着找妈妈。妈妈看见小石这么伤心的样子,从冰箱里拿出一个小冰块并用布包起采,认真地给小石敷着“受伤”的手臂。
编辑解读:也许有的妈妈会觉得:这也太小题大做了吧!尤其是这样对待男孩子。其实,小石的妈妈当然知道手臂的伤势没有那么严重,冰块的作用不在于治疗手臂,而是告诉小石:妈妈知道他伤心了,借此平复孩子有点受伤的情绪,当然如果妈妈觉得有必要的话,还可以在后面加上一句:“小男子汉应该坚强一些,就算受点伤也没什么大不了的。”
2、给他一个拥抱或者小零食
晓雷正在厨房里忙着做饭,突然听见儿子坐在客厅的地板上呜呜地哭了起来,嘴里念叨着:“妈妈不喜欢我了,妈妈不要我了。”晓雷解下围裙,把儿子抱到沙发上,搂着他说:“君君觉得妈妈不爱他了,真可怜啊!如果是我,我也会很伤心的。肯定是妈妈刚才忙得忘了君君,妈妈给君君泡杯牛奶好不好?”
编辑解读:有时候不需要太多的言语解释,在孩子感觉受忽略的时候,把他搂在怀里,亲一亲、抱一抱就行了,如果能给他一点喜欢吃的零食或者饮料,那就更好了。
3、借助“艺术创作”舒缓情绪
有一天靓靓发现自己最喜欢的小乌龟笨笨突然不动了,爸爸妈妈告诉靓靓小乌龟死了,并且带着靓靓找了一块地方埋葬了笨笨。靓靓似乎并不是很明白死是什么怎么一回事,可是之后的几天她都一直闷闷不乐。妈妈给了靓靓只笔、一个小本子,对靓靓说:“如果你想笨笨了,就把它画下来吧!想对它说什么,也可以写在纸上。”
编辑解读:小朋友高兴的时候可以用画笔一展绘画才能,不高兴的时候也能借助画笔抒发心中的不快。有时候,再多安慰的话也比不上孩子用自己的方式发泄情绪,比如画画、捏泥、剪纸、拼图等等。所以,家里备着铅笔、蜡笔、水彩笔、橡皮泥、大大小小的纸张是肯定能派上用场的,小朋友不仅能化悲痛为力量,创作出一件件小小艺术品,而且还能让爸爸妈妈暂时解放一会儿呢,不过前提是孩子肯自己玩。
4、适当时候的鼓励和激励
晓峰已经参加游泳培训2个目了,可他居然没有下过一次游泳池,原因是他很怕水。无论教练怎么保证游泳没有危险,晓峰就是不相信。每次训练回来,晓峰都要对妈妈说自己害怕极了,担心掉进水里没人救他。刚开始晓峰妈妈都表示理解他的担心,并让他先坐在一旁看其他小朋友是怎么学习的。可是2个月后她发现,晓峰的担心一点都没有减少,永远是坐在岸上看着别人,而且他丝毫没有尝试的打算。最后她打算找晓峰好好谈谈:“妈妈知道在水里的感觉有点怕怕,学游泳也不简单,但是你看别的小朋友在水里也没事啊,教练叔叔会保护你的,而且如果你大胆一点,挑战一下自己,说不定就学会了呢,那样妈妈会为你骄傲的。”
编辑解读:尊重和疏导孩子的情绪并不意味着一味的迁就,无原则地满足和忍让。在恰当的事情上和时机下,应该鼓励孩子积极地调整一下情绪,特别是当他一直沉浸在消极情绪中难以自拔时,更需要父母的激励

Sweet and Sour Fish (copy)
Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients:
•1 pound fish fillets, such as cod, haddock, or sea bass
•Marinade:
•1 teaspoon salt
•1 large egg white
•1 tablespoon cornstarch
•Sauce:
•1 cup chicken broth
•1 tablespoon light soy sauce
•1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
•2 tablespoons tomato paste
•3 tablespoons rice vinegar, or red or white wine
•3 tablespoons granulated sugar
•1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
•Other:
•4 ounces mangetout (snow peas)
•1 red bell pepper
•1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
•2 tablespoons green onions, chopped diagonally
•2 - 4 cups oil for deep-frying
Preparation:
Rinse the fish fillets and pat dry. Cut into 2-inch squares. Add the fish to the marinade ingredients, using your fingers to mix in the ingredients and adding the cornstarch last. Marinate the fish for 15 minutes.
While the fish is marinating, prepare the sauce and vegetables. In a small bowl, mix together the chicken broth, soy sauce, rice wine or sherry, tomato paste, vinegar and sugar. In a separate small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the water.
Blanch the snow peas in boiling water until they turn bright green. Plunge briefly in cold water. Drain thoroughly. Cut the bell pepper in half, remove the seeds and cut into cubes.
Heat the oil to between 360 and 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the marinated fish cubes. Deep-fry until they are golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Remove all but 2 tablespoons oil from the wok. Add the ginger and green onion and stir-fry until aromatic (about 30 seconds). Add the snow peas. Stir fry for a minute and add the red bell peppers.
Push the vegetables up to the sides of the wok and add the sauce in the middle. Bring to a boil. Add the cornstarch and water mixture, stirring to thicken. Serve the fish on a platter, covered with the sweet and sour sauce and vegetables.

Thai Green Curry (copied only)

Thai Green Curry
Serves 4
Preparation and cooking times
Prep 10 - 20 mins
(this version using curry paste)
Cook 20 mins
Peel shallots or onion and cut in half from top to root. Lay the cut sides flat on a board and thinly slice. Very finely slice the lemongrass, starting at the thinner end, stopping towards the base when it gets tough (often described as 'woody' and white in the centre).
Heat the oil in a wok or large saucepan for a couple of minutes until the oil separates (it looks more liquid at this point). Add the shallots or onion. Fry for 3-5 mins, until soft and translucent. Stir in the curry paste and cook for 1 min, stirring all the time.
Add chicken pieces and stir until they are coated. Add the fish sauce, sugar, kaffir lime leaves and coconut milk. Bring slowly to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 mins until the chicken is cooked. Stir the curry a few times while it cooks, to stop it sticking and to keep the chicken submerged.
While the chicken is cooking, strip the leaves from the coriander stalks, gather into a pile and chop very roughly. Taste the curry and add a little more curry paste and salt if you think it needs it. Stir half the coriander into the curry and sprinkle the rest over the top. Serve with Thai jasmine or basmati rice.

Inspirng and entertaining - picking tea in tea farm (April fool story)
却之不恭 受之有愧 (a creative story - a nice dream!- from a big tea fan.)
春节期间,福建省政府给俺发来邀请信函,鉴於俺茶行多年来为安溪地区茶叶外销和地区经济跨越式发展作出重大贡献。决定授予俺福建省“荣誉市民”称号,并邀请俺届时前往福建的福州出席授勋仪式。
其实,获得此项殊荣,俺感觉咱有些贪天之功!其实俺夫人才是功不可没的大功臣。只是俺才是茶行的法人代表,和福建方面的业务往来和合同都是俺签署才具法律效力。虽然如此,俺充其量只不过是一名幕后决策者而已。所以,对於这骤然从天而降的名誉,俺总感觉咱是“却之不恭、受之有愧”。
后来得知, 这一次,广东总共有五人获得此殊荣。接咱前往福州的省府汽车,傍晚到公司门口接上咱,就连夜兼程由东线沿海边向福建进发了。农历二月的福建,春寒料峭!穿越台湾海峡吹过来的寒冷和湿润的海风,让俺领略到啥是“二月春风似剪刀”!
经过一整夜的行车,第二天的清晨,咱到达了福建省福州市省府路的省府礼堂,在鑫皇酒楼吃过早饭,安排了住处,我们一行五十二个代表就赶到会场。
富丽堂皇的省府礼堂,省长黄小晶在主席台正中就座,咱五十二个代表也列席主席台。授勋仪式由副省长叶双瑜主持。因为受“却之不恭,受之有愧”思想的影响,俺匆匆接过黄省长授予的红丝绸烫金字、由省长本人签署的“荣誉市民”证书后,推却了省长的热情挽留。向省府办公室的廖秘书要了台越野车,从会场出来,俺就直奔安溪俺的茶园而去。
从福州到安溪先要到泉州,这段路俺全程走的是高速。可能收费站的工作人员认得俺开的是省府的车,把俺递上的钱给推了回来。俺也不管他那么多了,能节约当然是好事。从高速公路下来,俺又马不停蹄的从泉州奔安溪了。
位於闽南金三角结合地带的安溪县,东距泉州55公里,南与厦门一岭之隔,咱走的是一级公路,55公里的路程走了俺两个多小时,才到达位於戴云山脉东南坡、蓝溪河环抱的安溪城。
从安溪再要几十公里的崎岖山路,才能到达俺茶园的所在地--祥华。只见沿途层峦叠嶂、峰回路转,上出重宵!这路程大部分在海拔一千米以上行驶,云雾在俺车的下方飘荡,俺驾汽车倒有驾飞机的感觉!这时俺其实是驾车向武夷山脉的顶峰进发。好在廖秘书有眼光、懂地理,给了俺一台日产四驱大马力的越野车,二来俺是十多年前经过严格山地驾驶训练出来的司机,懂得走盘山公路的技巧,走这山路才没那么费劲。这路咱虽然走过好几次了,但还是印象糊涂,好在过安溪时,原安溪县委书记陈昭扬给俺配了个当地向导小薛。有他带领,俺只管驾车就是了,连加油都是那向导小薛拿个本子晃悠一下、签个名就可以了,所以行程就顺利了很多。
一路绿灯兼有向导,俺午后就到达了俺的茶园。女工们正在茶园摘明前茶。只见蓝天白云下,一望无际的茶园,郁郁葱葱、云雾缭绕。那茶树比咱上次来的时候又长高了一茬。厂长正忙内忙外管理着日常运作。他见俺驾车到来,喜出望外,虽然他知道咱来福建,但怎估计到俺来得这么快?咱俩上到茶厂的顶层凉亭,这凉亭果然是画栋朝飞南浦云,珠廉暮卷西山雨。放眼远处山岗连绵起伏的茶园,喝着产自咱茶园的雨前明茶。聊着今年的收成和计划。对於咱厂长,俺是一万个放心,咱的到来只不过是看望咱厂长和工友们。
正和厂长在那风光无限地喝着茶,突然接到咱家主事的电话,说是病中的老员外突转沉重,下了危通,要咱想办法今天赶紧回广州来。俺一看表:十五点四十分。如果自己驾车赶回去,就算全程走高速,无论如何要十五个小时。那不行,一来昨晚咱已坐了一宿的夜车,今天又自己驾了大半天的车程,如果再赶十五个小时的路又没得睡,那是无论如何办不到的。
时间紧迫,俺也没啥好办法,正在一畴莫展的焦急。突然想起离开福州前,廖秘书曾吩咐俺,有啥疑难可以找他。没办法,只好电话跟驾车去了祥地的向导小薛说明情况,要他跟廖秘书联系,看有啥办法没有?二十来分钟,小薛兴冲冲跑上凉亭来,说廖秘书吩咐咱俩现在马上驾车赶往安溪。匆匆跟厂长和女工们道别,俺和小薛就狼狈出逃了。
在赶安溪路上,接到廖秘书指令:马上赶往安溪专用机场,那里有个例行飞行的飞机等着咱,但廖秘书又问咱能坐飞机吗?俺说这不笑话吗?谁不能坐飞机?廖秘书有点不耐烦地说:那是小飞机,是双座教练小飞机,颠簸得狠哪!俺说不怕,只要今天能赶回去就行。反正俺还没吃晚饭,吐没可吐。小薛问清楚机场所在位置,好在他是安溪当地人,一问就清楚。小薛说,以前我怎么不知道那有飞机场的?
赶到安溪,已是夕阳西斜的黄昏,驾车穿过安溪城,跑到城西方向,转过一个小山包,眼前一条路杆赫然挡住去路,那守卫一看车牌,根本不看车厢内是啥人,马上提起挡杆放行,然后庄严的举手敬礼,那手放下时,顺势潇洒往前一指又一拐,示意我们往前后左拐。遵循守卫的指引,我们顺利地找到了小飞机。天啊,俺长那么大了,从来没见过这么小的飞机!连飞机师在内,只能坐两个人。这家伙真能飞吗?俺当时就傻了。那机师看过俺的车牌,就招手叫俺上飞机来。看来,今天俺的车牌倒成了俺的身份证了。跟小薛在飞机傍边握别后,俺跨上飞机,机师帮俺戴上防撞头套和耳塞连耳机,那耳机只能跟机师通话,还有一个好象咱们做磺化实验时戴的防毒面具似的东西,但它就多根管子,应该是吸氧用的吧,机师关上飞机玻璃罩。然后好象发动汽车似的发动了飞机引擎,飞机发出低沉的轰鸣。机师驾机缓缓驶上跑道后,一踩油门,那飞机身体一抖,发出震耳欲聋的怒吼,然後在跑道一阵狂飙,机师一拉那操控档杆,机头敏捷的一抬,轻盈的小飞机带着咱俩箭一样直插蓝天!当时俺感觉自己重千斤,那气憋的难受极了,血全涌上了头脑!当飞机爬升完了以后,其实飞机已带俺俩跨越了武夷山脉。飞机接着向右一拐,朝着西南方向飞去。这时,飞机的左远方是万家灯火的台北,大概四十分钟后,霓虹闪烁的香港就出现在飞机的右下方,一个小时不到,咱就降落在佛山机场,福建驻穗办的小车 《网络出错,内容丢失》

Masters Sunday Final
Did not have time to watch all, but yesterday' final was exciting. MciLroy did not win over the green jacket, but Charl S did (b 1984, rsa). During those hours saw some wonderful eagles but not small numbers of missing goals.
Having been tired by working out the chapters of Judges, so missed my moments when watching. Anyhow, searched the web and found something wanting to note: (copied)

Drawback of overwalked
With too much walks, not sufficient nutritious foods and drink, eg for bones and blood iron food input does help the health balance, so plenty of oily fishes, good quality chicken soup, so not a good idea when you are too busy with no time to care about the nutrient balance particularly in Vitamins, iron and calcium input, need a helper for gentle reminders.

元宵节,汤圆 (missed this year, made in 2008 Feb)
元宵节,汤圆
今早,在寒冷的冬季到处寻寻觅觅,跑了三家店,买不到糯米粉,日本的,英国的,印度的店子都没有糯米粉。花了1.9个小时!后悔自己没有提早在唐人街先买了。回头一想,是否要创新,用糯米饭代替了,打算用平常米粉,然后卷上一层糯米饭,再加点玫瑰露什么的。反正,不放弃,绝不放弃。
功夫不负有心人的,老天保佑,在找撵面棍的时候,在高高在上的柜子里,居然安稳的端坐着一包全新的糯米粉!好像知道与我是有缘的淡定,那是我圣诞节前心血来潮,想搞点新家伙,买来的。于是炒花生,拌椰丝,砂糖。作百分百的传统的汤圆。花了另外两个小时,做了一批,大小各异,有的开口微笑,有的有棱有角, 充满个性,乌啦啦。反正有的吃,自己吃了高兴,小友纪子也捧场吃的开心,至于爱尔兰小伙,是否讨好我的汤圆,不一而知。今晚带一批到中文夜校,给办公室行政Kiren. 祝天下有情人高兴!你们的汤圆一定圆,我的是充数而已,见笑:)

非常好的生活情趣
非常好的生活情趣,看到茶园,宠物,充实宁静和祥的心态十分重要。品味淡淡的一杯清茶,感谢圣爱的永恒,那是踏实不变的幸福。向你们学习!家人温暖如春的问候,是无以代替的礼物!

Lost in the city today
Today, attended the talk by Dr. Donald Carson in St. Helen’s Church, Bishopsgate, EC3
I lost myself in the city before 10.30am, have not been a morning person for a long time. This is the season for a change; it is time to enjoy the sunrise, the fresh air, and the good cup of tea- so time to be a morning person! The poor memory this winter turned me to so many adventures into the green, the streams and new books not to mention those golf clubs study. The memories collected from Xmas, new year and the CNY are great, although with a momentum sense of loss in the context of homeland on day one of CNY. Anyhow, the conversation with my Chinese literature hero Su Dongpo, his words bought me back to the realistic for a while, on day two CNY, I added: make a home where is 6,000 miles away is rather interesting, the embrace with different cultures that is crucial in the century, isn’t it?
Learn from him, Mr Su, he walked every morning around the country roads after the green tea breakfast, watered his bamboo gardens, looked after the plum flowers trees, read under the pine trees, and talked to chrysanthemums while the stream was running along his house, then played his music. Did he play much sports, no much as we do now, but he played chess very well, the other type of relaxation.

《兰亭序》冯承素摹本行书《兰亭序》有如行云流水,潇洒飘逸,骨格清秀,点画遒美,疏密相间,布白巧妙,在尺幅之内蕴含着极丰裕的艺术美。无论横、竖、点、撇、钩、折、捺,真可说极尽用笔使锋之妙。《兰亭序》凡三百二十四字,每一字都姿态殊异,圆转自如。王羲之出神入化,不仅表现在异字异构,而且更突出地表现在重字的别构上。如出现的20个“之”字,名有不同的体态及美感,无一雷同,宋代米芾在题《兰亭》诗中便说:“廿八行,三百字,‘之’字最多无一拟。”。重字尚有“事”、“为”、“以”、“所”、“欣”、“仰”、“其”、“畅”、“不”、“今”、“揽”、“怀”、“兴”、“后”等,都别出心裁,自成妙构。

徒步 - a variety of walking activities
在中国,徒步已越来越成为现代人崇尚的旅游方式. 很多人都问过我这个问题: 我该准备怎么样的鞋子啊?
在西方, 徒步早已是一种和跑步,打球,骑单车一样的户外运动了. 根据户外徒步的强度, 户外徒步鞋可以分成了5大类.徒步的起源,我们暂且不计远古时期高加索人日常生活中穿的鞋子, 以现代徒步概念来看, 徒步起始于世界高峰的攀登, 首批徒步者穿的鞋子是那种并不舒适,坚硬,结实的皮鞋.
随着娱乐性运动和生产能力的发展,人们发明了各种各样的鞋子, 每一种都注重某一特性, 因此就产生了: 休闲徒步, 徒步,长途徒步,登山和户外竞技鞋.
l 休闲徒步鞋 :
到郊外游玩,步行1-2小时,甚至更长一点的时间,我们一般都不会对鞋子有什么过高的要求, 每个人都有至少一双运动鞋. 森林啊,海边等等这类的步行, 除非你是专业的步行运动员,否则运动鞋都可以满足这样的要求. 任何鞋类制造厂都可生产出这样的鞋子, 低帮, 较硬,比跑鞋重稍稍,鞋底较厚且防滑.
l 徒步鞋
长距离徒步时,休闲徒步鞋就显得不适应了. 原因是 :
1. 即使只有1-2小时的徒步,由于山路的不平,这就要考虑到脚腕的保护..
2. 即使道路是平坦的,但徒步时间较长,有可能是一个周末甚至几天的连续行走, 那么一双舒适和有效保护双脚的鞋子就能缓解疲劳和防止不常运动引起的疼痛.
传统的徒步鞋用于天气晴朗时人们在山区森林里的徒步, 它轻便且能很好地保护脚腕. 但不一定防滑
鞋的质量一般为双层网面化纤的,一般不讲究防水功能. 因为2-3天的徒步是完全可以根据天气预报来安排的. 天气不好,这样的徒步可以取消, 就算途中下雨, 那么一晚上的时间也足以让鞋子干透了.
l 长途徒步鞋 (for trekking)
长途徒步鞋,顾名思义就是穿来远行的鞋子.
那么这种鞋子与普通徒步鞋有什么不同呢 ? 首先我们看看什么是长途徒步 : 在秋季,嗜好徒步的人士背上背包专门去走那些被评了徒步等级的,难度较高的徒步线路. 常常是一个甚至几个星期中要行走上百公里的各种路程, 能否顺利到达目的地, 鞋子就成了最基本的决定因素了. 为了防水,这种鞋子一般都是舒适度很高的皮鞋
徒步者背着帐篷,食物等所以所需用品, 那么鞋子必须要有一定份量,且高帮才有助于有效保护承受沉重压力的脚踝. 而且鞋两侧的坚固程度也必须起到预防意外踩到石头上而带来的扭伤. 考虑到每天8小时的行走, 长途徒步鞋就不能太硬. 但如果路面多石或者是需要攀岩的情况下,我们就不得不考虑是登山鞋了

因为要在高海拔山上行走, 登山鞋的保暖功能很完善,即使在寒冷的冬天, 它那厚实的皮革和特别的塑料是保暖和防水的有效材料

从骑车到跑步,从瑜伽到健身器械,从户外到室内,“请人吃饭,不如请人流汗”成了风靡一时的流行语。热衷于运动健身的人坚信“生命在于运动”,他们认为运动不但能增强体力和耐力,还能预防各种疾病。坚持运动的主体是青年男性,他们对运动有热情,希望以此来维持肌肉和身材。
点评:经常运动能使机体保持在一个良好的状态,增强机体免疫力。人的一生都可以通过运动的方式达到健身的目的。但运动也有标准,过度运动不仅对健康无益,还会给机体带来伤病,甚至运动性猝死 。特别是年过40岁或有心脏病、高血压或糖尿病等家族病史者,应由医生评估后选择合适的运动项目。

He looked at me, I was opening my eyes wide and being quiet for quite a while, then he said: “oh… did you mean the tea with cream and scones? Cream tea or green tea? (time for silly joke, originated here in Bournemouth, Dorset, England.)
Years’ ago, after a long walk on the west cliff, I was thirsty and hungry, went into a tea house by the sea, asked: “Can I have cream tea, please.” The waiter went to the kitchen without any questions, smiling, came back with a pot of jasmine green tea, no scones, no jams, no butter. Why?
Answers:
A: too late, food all gone.
B: run out of Dorset tea bags
C: my poor pronunciation:)
